3 Beauty Workshops in a ROW - Clarins, Good Skin Lab & "Gotta Have It"

My time will be packed with seminars after seminars this coming weekend. Helluva, it's all about BEAUTY (arghh, since when lazy me so into beauty huh)..

I was supposed to blog about this since 2 weeks ago but as usual la, there was always other things that crops in whenever i try to blog about something. Of course, i indeed did promise Miu, i will blog about the Clarins workshop organised for her blog followers.

ONE : CLARINS POWER TO TRY WORKSHOP

A workshop specially organised by CLARINS for MIU blog followers. The workshop main objectives is for attendees to understand, pamper the skin with love and care. In addition, there will be quick and easy steps for make and touch up called "CLARINS Magic".

The event only open to invited attendees, the event will be held near Low Yat Plaza (Clarins Training Ground) and it will be a 3 hours workshop @ October 31, 2009.

TWO : GOOD SKIN LABS WORKSHOP

A workshop organised by Good Skin and Malaysian Women's Weekly. This workshop is intended on beauty makeover by the right skincare!

Attendees who signed up and confirmed attendance with Good Skin Labs personnel. The workshop will be held at MidValley Megamall for 2 hours workshop @ October 31, 2009.

Note : Hope the skincare is as good as it mention!

Post Workshop : It was good. I love the eye care and bought one from them since my eye cream is running out. Hope i'll have beautiful eyes soon!

THREE : GOTTA HAVE IT @ WATSONS

A workshop organised by WATSON'S and will cover beauty makeover, hair treatment and facial sessions. 250 attendees who have signed up and confirmed attendance with Watson's. Early birds will have the privilege to get door gift from Watson's.

The workshop will be held Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre from 10am - 6pm @ November 1, 2009.

Goodies : First 50 HSBC Cardholders gets Maybelline Lipsticks and eyeshadow FREE!

Note : They betta make sure they have that many things for me to explore ... :p

Post Workshop : It was just mediocre. Participating brands include Bio-Essence, Nivea, Maybelline, Neutrogena, Sunsilk, Oil of Olay and PLAYBOY Fragrance. I supposed the were too many families who are so kiasu over those free gifts that marred the event. l have neva seen on whole family who has no shame in taking one after another, that just put off my mood!

Nevertheless, it was a good effort from the organiser, kudos...

woohoo, my honey is coming to hold his concert - 《峰‧狂聖誕派對09》 at Genting Highlands.

The Show must go on - t Music Festival

What more do I have to say about this music festival?

ermm, a pair of free tickets (muaks jenny) and i'm in for a mini concert by the extraordinary line of artistes from HK, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Thailand and of course, Malaysia.

I was anticipating to see the first timer performance from Kay Tse, David Tao and Khalil Fong Tai Thong and they live up to their expectation, they were really good!

But it was an overall good concert from the artistes - Justin, Lee Sheng Jie, Joey Yung, Soler, Z Chen, ManHand and etc.

But it was the power failure burnt at the mid of the concert made it more memorable and warm. It was commendable effort by the organiser, as well as we audience. Imagine the scene - it was a romantic blackout in the stadium, everyone was patiently waiting and the organiser got the party on by restoring the lights in within half an hour. the SHOW MUST GO ON and we did not left dissapointed concert goers ...

Although it ends at almost 2am, it was great nite singing to all those tunes, here's one for the nite - i want to sing along song, that's not too long (khalil gets me going)...

oh what a day...

what a kick start to my 09 blog - on the 9 months, 9th day and year 09...

I read with high anticipation on another blog - 090909 is also classified as the World Day of INTERCONNECTEDNESS. Interconnectedness what? let me see : it is further explain as a deep sense of interconnectedness or oneness, is at the core of decisions and actions that are life affirming and good for the whole.

and all my mind was a picture of how many couples realising their marriage vows and those cute little babies born on this significant day...

Goodbye 2008, herald in the New 2009

La La La, goodbye to you, 2008...

Good or bad, the world has evolve as a whole as we now near open our hands to herald in the New Year of 2009!

Presumably it has been forecasted that it will not be a good year - at least it's ringing on the ECONOMY sector

What we will see? What does 2009 holds? How will you welcome the year?
(I ain't gonna think so much now, i'm gonna enjoy my last day of the year at Leo's concert in Genting & then after to treat myself to the whole loads of fireworks)

Yes and yes, i wish to know what 2009 has in store for me, but right now right here - I only wish to anticipate...

Into the world of FUNG-mania

New album release, a follow up with promo tour is always the norm...

Somehow one day I read on his on his official website, www.fungforever.net that his next stop is in Pavilion, KL for the promo. Don’t ask me how I got to register, just got myself thru via its FF fans club.

Really wanna see how this chap looks like in real life after seeing so much of his drama. So thereafter work, we (me and my colleague, Daphne) rush over from our office to Pavilion to meet him and yes, say we got the better front due to the privilege they gave to the fans. (aiyo, we were right in front and have to hold cards like hardcore fans), man I took it and hide my face…

When he eventually arrives, the crowd went wild, screaming “Lam Fung, Lam Fung, Lam Fung”! He wasn’t feeling well that night, so his voice was abit off but still it sounds good! Guest of the night was Vincy Chan, I would say their collaboration is pretty good – well I know Vincy’s voice had always been good.

Later Fung did his solo on the latest song that appear in the show, Moonlight Resonance and then after he sat down and complied to sign on all the cds that the fans bought that nite!

Yes, he’s really good looking – I get to meet somebody that i'm pretty crazy of since the TVB show, Heart of Greed. I was speechless, I just stand and look at him and thank him when he gave me back the CD piece he sign and he actually said thank you for my support. I guess like any other girls, I was left speechless by his gesture...

After that I stayed and was busy clicking my camera until he signed his final piece before everyone crowded at him and didn’t want to let him go despite having 10 bodyguards!

Now you can understand how this Fung-mania comes along. And you can rest assure if this mania hit the 2nd time, I’m definitely gonna be there...

Yes you offer no excuse for the poor display but we Malaysians still remember how you put us through on Friday night, that gritting semifinals play that send us Malaysians into euphoria

I was, I was anticipating the GOLD from you & of course to hear our Nation’s anthem to be played is something I guess all Malaysians were hoping for.

But like the papers said, it was just not your day – he, Super DAN was quicker, fitter and faster!

Witnessing across on the TV sets, I think many Malaysians could feel the pressure you were facing and to trail by a high margin – no one would be on the right mental mind to not crack! You were calm but perhaps he was stronger and he pounced on you to make mistakes one after another.

And I liken this quote from a daily today which says : - “He never claimed his invincibility, He was never seeded number one – Lin Dan was top seed. He never promised the GOLD. He gave his best and ended up with a silver, not for want of trying. Simply put, it was not his day.”

Lucky No.8? No of good fortune? The number 8, 8th day of the 8th month in year 2008. That’s three 8s in a row…

Apparently so, 8 which sounds like “FA” – meaning prosper or wealth. Many Chinese around the world normally has it that whatever associated with 8 would be a good thing. Often the case, it’s a DREAM no. associated by the rich or poor (on their mobile phones, password, atm pin, house no & etc).

But then of course, it’s CHINA’s BIG DAY today – ONE World ONE Dream (同一个世界, 同一个梦想), BEIJING 2008 OLYMPIC GAMES.


A significant day, triumph for all CHINESE mankind. The anticipation of CHINESE peoples all around the world (not just CHINA only) on the BEIJING 2008 OLYMPICS that will kick off on what I call it – what a day & time – 08.08.08 @ 8.08pm.

Heart of Greed premieres today - ASTRO 311

Man, need I say more about this TVB movie? I’ve watched it and burn a copy of DVD for my safekeeping – I’ve lost count how many times I’ve cried and repeated the scenes in the show.

I’d say – watch it for yourselves if you haven’t see this movie as yet…

Heart wrenching relationships, family feud, greed, betrayal entails with never ending family and friendship support sums up this grit-warming movie!

RAYMOND LAM FUNG

Apparently, it’s also the reason why I’m so madly hook up with Raymond Lam after I watched it (so much show I granted myself the title of Mrs Lam – only in my own dreams, hehehe!)

I’m anticipating tonight’s premiere and I don’t mind watching it again – afterall it’s one of those best production in the recent years (well at least in my opinion)

To keep you inform, the Heart of Greed 2nd sequel is in its production now – and scheduled to be released in Aug / Sept 2008.

Ohh, I just can’t wait!!!

But what kind of ENDING?

Happy or sad, what kind of ending? We were just unable to answer each other…

I’m just so lost these few days thinking and thinking – my fault or his fault or our fault we dint gave this a serious thought? But I thought we have talk about it over and over again just that we didn’t seem to pay enough attention to it.

Why was I worried? Why was he so keen to know what was I thinking? It was about US!

And I thought – the obvious problem between US was we don’t seem to have a vision where we want to go or how we intend to let it grow over time. And I ask, but how?

In the end, it was only left to tears and heartache, as the answer lies within our own self. Don’t want to lose each other or unable to let go, it’s something I’m questioning myself – not so much of I don’t know but more of how and what we should compromise on…

Honesty not NECESSARILY the BEST POLICY

What did I just said to him? Our conversation was still going on pretty well until I told him that?

His reaction changed immediately and asked me what kind of reaction should he give me? All of a sudden, he became so quiet, quiet in his own thoughts…

I felt scared and worried, what will he think of me now? What's going thru his mind?
His voice tells me he’s unhappy and as a matter of fact, he actually minds.

I immediately sms Val to let her know what I told him, and it didn’t made me any better as she said that why were you so honest????? That’s a SERIOUS OFFENCE, good luck my fren.

Phew, but I always thought ‘Honesty is the Best Policy’ – but in this case, it doesn’t seems so.

I’m feeling extremely restless now. Perhaps there are things better left unsaid…

Peoples all around will once again decide – FUTURE OF MALAYSIA!

A choice – one should choose wisely? Or can’t be bothered – Barisan Nasional will win like it or not! And they are echoing us Malaysians to vote for a stronger voice in parliament or bigger representation in the CABINET.

Hmmmm and I thought. For me, I do not think BN would have it easily this time. I don’t reckon they would win by 2/3 majority like they did in the last general election.

Simply because – THEY ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH FOR THE COUNTRY!

For me the last four year rule – is a story of economy mismanagement, extremely poor public service performance that sucks big time, RAMPANT CORRUPTION, rising crime rate and unemployment, inflation, wasteful public expenditure and a humiliating judicial scandal.

So need I say more? Only you decide how intense and fiery tomorrow’s voting will be, that will shape and see us thru another 5 years ordeal.

It’s your CHOICE…

Just that ONCE in 4 years

29 February – another extra day this year that maketh this 366 days to the year. Anything special happen so far yet today? Nah!

Guess those who’re born today would have a helluva night celebrating it – especially it only occur once every 4 years…

As for me, it’s just another typical day as we hit the end of the 2nd month and there comes MARCH tomorrow.

How time flies, phew! Significant or not, this extra day is something everyone should take pleasure in

Edison & his SEX obsession

Who’s the hottest fella in town right now? Who hasn’t seen it? My eyes almost dropped off after seeing those pictures. Nuff said! A simple laptop repair job turned into a controversial scandalous talk of the town – pictures in compromising positions, splashed all over the Internet.

Oh well, he apologized last week and chosen to leave the HK entertainment, but next question is for how long? For good? Below are excerpts of Edison’s statement worth pondering :-

I admit that most of the photos being circulated on the Internet were taken by me. But these photos are very private and have not been shown to people and are never intended to be shown to anyone. These photos were stolen from me illegally and distributed without my consent.

This matter has deteriorated to the extent that society as a whole has been affected by this. In this regard, I am deeply saddened. I would like now to apologize to all the people for all the suffering that has been caused and the problems that have arisen from this. I would like to apologize to all the ladies and to all their families for any harm or hurt that they have been feeling. I am sorry.

I hope, after today, I can have your forgiveness. With regard to this case, with everything, everything that has happened, I am deeply sorry. I hope you all accept my apology and give me a chance.”

Is he really SORRY for the fact? According to a website, he din’t seem to appear so and of course, latest developments reveals that he’s now suspected of leaking the pictures himself.

Oh well, as an outsider – I can only say so much and I thought over it, who are we to judge? My sympathies are to the willing ladies whom have to now salvage their existing relationships or even marriages (think I’ve lost count how many womens had their weddings cancelled) as a result of this scandal.

Let’s just sit and see what else unfolds…

Im not in the mood these few days, just vulnerable and Im losing in my own senses...

I felt better after reading about the above – yes, everyone's special in their own way, and yes eventhou I'm feeling sad and depressed now – I'm UNIQUE in my own way and there's no one else like me.

Time passes by so fast – 1st post of the year and here I am counting days to my big day, arghh what – turning 29 la what else!

Getting old, getting old man…

Scary thought, Adelyn reminded me – I’ve four days to go on my countdown to new year party and Kai Ma reminded me again today – 3 days to 29, that’s why I thought I better blog this before I say bye bye to 28.

What do I wish for? Got my first pressie from my Kai Ma, went for a bag huntdown at the Curve on Sunday. It was a nice outing – haven’t been doing that for a long time. Got myself a nice nice turquoise bag (thanksie, muaks muaks kai ma!)
